Hi, I’m Julie — a fine line tattoo artist specializing in delicate, single needle technique, and the founder of Adouré Ink.

Originally based in San Diego, I’m now living and working between Oakland, Berkeley, and the greater Bay Area, while continuing to travel back to San Diego for my existing clients.

While I host other independent artists in my studio, I remain the face and sole artist behind Adouré Ink & Beauty.

MY JOURNEY

My journey started humbly as a seasonal gift wrapper at Sephora in 2004, where I quickly found my way into the world of color and artistry.

In 2008, my passion led me to join the Sephora Pro Team, a prestigious group of elite artists representing the brand on a global level. For over a decade, I worked as a Sephora Lead Pro Artist—traveling, teaching, and contributing to product development while working on celebrity red carpets, editorial campaigns, and backstage at New York Fashion Week.

While I loved the fast-paced global beauty world, I craved deeper connection, creative freedom, and a more intentional way of working. In 2015, I left my 11-year career at Sephora and returned to San Diego, where I discovered permanent makeup—a space that allowed me to combine precision, artistry, and one-on-one client experiences.

In 2017, I launched Adouré Beauty, helping clients feel confident and at ease through natural, refined cosmetic tattooing.

By 2020, I felt called back into education and created Lip Blush Master Training, mentoring artists across the country and continuing to support growth within the beauty industry.

In 2021, I opened my own studio—intentionally designed to feel clean, calm, and welcoming. A space that felt different from traditional tattoo shops, where clients—especially women—could feel safe, comfortable, and at home.

In 2022, I expanded into Adouré Ink, focusing on fine line tattoos, single needle work, and minimalist designs, specializing in delicate florals and micro realism. This marked a return to my roots as an artist and a deeper alignment with the kind of work I wanted to create—intentional, personal, and story-driven.

Over time, I made the decision to step away from teaching lip blush and focus fully on tattooing, while continuing to mentor and support artists within my space.

In 2023, I transitioned into full-time body tattooing, and in 2025, returned to one of my greatest passions—education—by mentoring apprentices entering the world of fine line tattooing.

Now in 2026, I’ve relocated to the Bay Area, continuing to grow Adouré Ink between Oakland and Berkeley while exploring a more permanent studio space. My vision remains the same: to create a space that feels creative, intentional, and deeply welcoming—where art and human connection come together.

More Than a Studio

Outside the studio, I love working out, practicing yoga, and exploring the outdoors with my double doodle, Hiro—who’s featured in many of my brand photos and truly feels like my little hero.

I’m always searching for new coffee shops, soaking in live music, and exploring other creative outlets like resin, painting, and illustration.

At Adouré, it’s not just about how something looks—it’s about how it feels. I’m here to offer thoughtful, high-quality cosmetic tattoos and custom fine line pieces in a space that’s welcoming, safe, and rooted in care.
