Hi, I'm Julie—a fine line tattoo artist specializing in delicate, single needle tattoos and meaningful custom artwork.

Originally based in San Diego, I relocated Adouré Ink to Oakland, California in 2026. Today, I serve clients throughout Oakland, Berkeley, San Francisco, and the greater Bay Area while continuing to welcome returning clients from San Diego during select visits.

Known for fine line florals, microrealism, pet portraits, and nature-inspired designs, I strive to create timeless tattoos that feel personal, intentional, and uniquely yours.

While I host other independent artists in my studio, I remain the face and sole artist behind Adouré Ink & Beauty.

MY JOURNEY

Today, Adouré Ink is proudly based in Oakland, California, serving clients throughout Oakland, Berkeley, San Francisco, and the greater Bay Area.

My journey into artistry began over 20 years ago in the beauty industry. In 2004, I started at Sephora as a seasonal gift wrapper and quickly discovered a passion for creativity, color, and human connection.

That passion led me to Sephora's Pro Team, where I spent more than a decade as a professional makeup artist, educator, mentor, and spokesperson. Throughout my career, I had the opportunity to teach nationally, contribute to product innovation, work behind the scenes at New York Fashion Week, and support artists throughout North America.

While I loved the fast-paced beauty industry, I found myself wanting something more personal. I wanted to create meaningful experiences through one-on-one relationships and help people feel seen, confident, and connected to themselves.

In 2017, I founded Adouré Beauty, specializing in natural-looking permanent makeup and helping clients feel at ease through cosmetic tattooing. My goal was simple: create beautiful, timeless results while providing an experience rooted in trust, education, and genuine connection.

In 2021, I opened my first studio in San Diego, intentionally creating a space that felt calm, welcoming, and approachable—especially for clients who may have felt intimidated by traditional tattoo shops.

As my passion for drawing and illustration continued to evolve, I found my way back to my roots as an artist and expanded into fine line tattooing. In 2022, I launched Adouré Ink, focusing on fine line tattoos, single needle work, microrealism, florals, nature-inspired designs, pet portraits, and meaningful custom artwork.

What started as a creative exploration quickly became a calling.

Today, I specialize in delicate, detail-driven tattoos designed to age beautifully and hold personal meaning. Whether it's a memorial piece, a favorite flower, a beloved pet, or a reminder of an important chapter in life, I approach every tattoo with care, intention, and respect for the story behind it.

In 2026, I made the difficult decision to close my San Diego studio and relocate Adouré Ink to Oakland, California. San Diego will always hold a special place in my heart—it was where I built my business, grew as an artist, and formed many of the relationships that shaped my career. After five incredible years, I felt called to embrace a new chapter and take a leap of faith in the Bay Area.

Today, Adouré Ink continues its story in Oakland. The move represents both personal and professional growth, allowing me to deepen my artistry, connect with a new community, and continue building a studio centered around intentional, meaningful work.

My vision remains the same today as it was when I opened my first studio: to create a space where people feel comfortable, cared for, and genuinely seen. A place where art, trust, and human connection come together.

More Than a Studio

Outside the studio, I love working out, practicing yoga, and exploring the outdoors with my double doodle, Hiro—who’s featured in many of my brand photos and truly feels like my little hero.

I’m always searching for new coffee shops, soaking in live music, and exploring other creative outlets like resin, painting, and illustration.

At Adouré, it’s not just about how something looks—it’s about how it feels. I’m here to offer thoughtful, high-quality cosmetic tattoos and custom fine line pieces in a space that’s welcoming, safe, and rooted in care.
