Pre-Care

  • If you are on accutane or any doctor prescribed treatment that’s similar you must get clearance. Doctor’s note is required to book.

Your skin needs to thicken up before we can perform permanent makeup services.

    • No Isoltretinoin, or other retinoids (these treatments can cause the skin to be thinner, which can make it unsafe to blade)

    • No Botox or any fillers at least 4 weeks prior (can disturb the shape)

    • No Intense Facial treatments such as chemical peels, dermabrasion, mesotherapy. This will cause skin cells to rejuvenate faster resulting in skin irritation. Please schedule these treatments 2-3 weeks before scheduling microblade session

    • No Tanning (bed and natural sun exposure)

    • No Waxing, Tinting or Electrolysis

    • No Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Ibuprofen

    • No Caffeine (Coffee, Energy Drinks, Tea too!)

    • No Alcohol

    • No Vitamin E or Fish Oil Supplements

    • No Excessive Sweating or Working Out

    • Shower day of before session or night before

POST-Care

    1. Light pat brows with baby wipe to freshen brows everyday, day and night.

    2. Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment

      • Oily Skin 1-2 times a day for first 3 days and use it only if you feel tight or itchy for remainder of time

      • Dry to Normal Skin: 2 times a day and more if feeling extra tight for first 3 days and use it only if you feel tight or itchy for remainder of time

      • Apply in patting motion, don’t rub or massage in circular motion as this can aggravate the skin

      • Make sure to clean brows with alcohol-free, fragrance-free baby wipes BEFORE applying new layer of ointment

    3. Brows may get itchy, don’t pick! The pigment will lift out of the brows and leave empty spaces if you pick at your brows. Please use small amount of ointment provided in your aftercare packet to help relieve itchy sensation.

    4. Use a fresh pillow case, preferably satin and try to avoid sleeping on your side for the first 10 days. Your pillow may rub the tail of your brow and scrap the scabs which will result in loss of deposited pigment. If you can’t avoid, apply a non-stick bandaid on to your brows and wear an eye mask to hold it in place if needed.

    5. No sweating or excessive exercise for 7-10 days

    6. Quick showers, no steam and wash from the back!

    7. Avoid topical makeup and sunscreen on the brow area for 10 days

    8. No facials, botox, chemical peels or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks

    9. No major sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks

    10. Use alcohol-free, fragrance-free baby wipes to wipe brows before applying fresh new aftercare ointment

  • You will be provided an aftercare pack to take home and help guide you in a successful healing process. Please follow instructions and use products as needed for your 10-14 day healing process. Healing may vary for everyone but 10 days minimum is recommended for best results. Any questions, please reach out.

  • You brows will darken by up to 50% until the scabbing dissipates approximately in 7 or 8 days. Don’t be alarmed, this is completely normal.

  • The color may also lighten by around day 10 which you may think they have disappeared completely or in pockets. Trust the process! Our skin has a tendency to create a clear layer of skin as it is healing and your new skin will prevent the strokes from being visible. Please be assured that as your skin cells naturally regenerate, the color will come back around the 3 weeks mark and continue to clarify throughout the first 6-8 weeks. Be patient and kind to your skin as it does its job during this important phase!

  • Although not mandatory, but highly recommended to perfect and lock in your brows. Most clients come in nervous and tend to want to be more conservative with shape and color. Most common request during 6-8 week touch up:

    • Darker

    • Go over any strokes or parts of the brows that didn’t take or are lighter

    • Slightly larger

    • Extending the tail especially for those who are side sleepers
