PRE-CARE

    • Stop using retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or chemical exfoliants on the area to be tattooed.

    • Avoid tanning beds or long sun exposure—sunburned or freshly tanned skin cannot be tattooed.

    • Postpone any laser treatments, microneedling, or chemical peels near the area.

    • Protect the skin from the sun and keep it moisturized daily.

    • Avoid waxing, shaving, or hair removal creams directly over the area (to prevent irritation).

    • If you get sick, on antibiotics, or have a flare-up of a skin condition, it’s best to reschedule so your body can heal properly.

    • Shower and shave area that you’re planning to get tattooed

    • Moisturize especially if you’re skin is extra dry

    • Stay hydrated—drink plenty of water.

    • Don’t drink alcohol please

    • Get a good night’s rest so your body is ready for the session.

    • Eat a balanced meal beforehand to keep your blood sugar stable.

    • Arrive with clean skin, free of lotions, oils, or sunscreen on the tattoo area.

    • Wear loose, comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty and that gives easy access to where you’re getting tattooed.

    • Bring water, snacks, electronics, book, etc if it’s a longer session.

FAQ

POST-care

    • If you received saniderm bandages (clear second skin bandage) leave bandage for up to 5 days as instructed by your artist.

      •  Remove bandage and wash tattoo with warm water and antibacterial soap (dial is great!). Pat dry with a clean paper towel.

      •  Apply a thin layer of aquaphor to the tattoo 2-3 times a day for three days (as needed if the area is dry)

      •  To maintain the longevity and health of your tattoo, please continue moisturizing the area with unscented body lotion.

      •  Do not pick or peel scabs, as it may cause the tattoo to fall out or lose ink.

    • Keep saniderm on

    • Things to avoid:

      • Hot showers

      • Strenuous workouts (light walks & yoga is ok)

      • Direct sun

      • Scratching or picking at it

    • Take a warm shower and roll the saniderm off.

    • Run tattoo under cool water and lightly pat dry

    • Apply ointment 2-3x a day

    • Apply a thin layer of ointment to the tattoo 2-3 times a day for three days (as needed if the area is dry)

    •  To maintain the longevity and health of your tattoo, please continue moisturizing the area with unscented body lotion.

    • Long term exposure to sun can cause fading. Please refrain from exposing the tattoo to the sun for the first 2 weeks.

    •  Tattoos in high motion areas are prone to fading and may require a touch up such as hand, fingers, foot

    •  2-3 weeks after your tattoo no soaking, sauna, bathing, swimming or prolonged exposure to water

    • With the nature of fine line tattoo, it is normal for touch ups to be needed. I offer one complimentary touch up for any tattoo done by me within the first 6 months from your initial appointment.

    •  Hand and foot tattoos will fade and additional charges will be applied for any additional touchup.

    •  To schedule a touch up, send me a email with a picture of the tattoo in its current condition so that I know how much time to book for your touch up.

    •  Healing results of tattoos on the head, face, feet, or hands which include fingers cannot be guaranteed and may not be eligible for free touch ups after the first. Additional fee will be charged based on what is need for each touch up.

    • I can touch-up existing tattoo done elsewhere but it would be charged as a new session, submit a tattoo submission form for estimate.
